When
Europeans first came to the shores of West Africa they searched
for gold, land and flavorful spices in the name of their king.
So competitive was the trade in spices that at one point pepper
was literally worth its weight in gold. King's Pepper is a
premium, high-quality blend of all natural herbs and spices
worthy of a king's ransom.
King is also the ancestral name of the company's founder Gail
Jennings. Richard "Dick" King, her great-great-great
grandfather was an emancipated slave from Crockett, Texas.
He was set free on June 19, 1865. June Teenth is still a big
holiday in Texas and the perfect time to BBQ with King's Pepper.
